Until recenlty, dairy proccessors were required to use valves with leakage outlets equal to the pipe size. The PMO is now aligned with the 3-A Sanitary Standard 85-02. This allows dairy processors to have leakage ports that are less than 100% of the pipe size. The FDA’s PMO ensures the safe operation of dairy plants. Now that the FDA regulations are aligned with the 3-A Sanitary Standard 85-02, dairy plants can use mix proof valves with leakage outlets that are less than 100% of the pipe size. Pentair Sudmo’s 365it Complete PMO is the first mix proof valve to be certified for the U.S. dairy industry with a leakage outlet less than 100% compared to its pipe size and approved for seat lift with product on one side and CIP on the other side.
Independent third party verification shows that Pentair Sudmo’s 365it Complete PMO Mix Proof Valve meets and exceeds all 3-A Sanitary Standards for double seat / mix proof valve requirements for use in PMO dairy applications.
