Anderson/Negele ITM-3A Relative Turbidity Monitor
Anderson/Negele ITM-3A Relative Turbidity Monitor
Applications for the ITM-3A include detection and automation of product-to-product as well as product-to-water interfaces in traditional dairy and beverage processes, but it can also be used to monitor CIP return lines for presence or absence of product. It’s also been used for yeast harvest automation in breweries and for leak detection downstream of filters. Anywhere a change in turbidity can be used to signal, alarm, or automate may be another great place to install an ITM-3A.

Standard features of the ITM-3A include 4 selectable ranges that can be programmed via the internal interface or any two of them can be remotely selected via a 24VDC decoupled input. So a single unit can be used for multiple products in the same line, with the range being set for optimal resolution as required.
A backlit LCD display is included for set-up as well as for local indication of the relative turbidity level. And finally, a single switching output with adjustable setpoint and hysteresis is included for local or remote alarming, in addition to the standard 4-20mA output.
Wiring is accomplished via standard M12 quick disconnect receptacles, and the housing is IP69K/NEMA 4X rated. Our standard lens material is sapphire which has proven the most durable in the intended applications.
